Boston, MA – Derek Leslie Arrested for Indecent Assault and Batteries on East Broadway near Dorchester St
Boston, MA (July 22, 2022) – Authorities confirm that 32-year-old Derek Leslie of South Boston was taken into custody on Monday on a warrant issued by the South Boston District Court.
Reports from the Boston Police indicate that a community alert was issued following two reports of indecent assault and battery. The incidents reportedly took place near East Broadway and Dorchester Street in South Boston back in June 2022.
Reports show that a woman in the South Boston area came forward stating that she was accosted and groped by a man. On Friday, July 8, the woman spotted the man again and notified the police. When the victim spotted Leslie, she immediately pulled out her phone and began recording him, as he walked with another woman who she believed he was inappropriately grabbing.
The victim of the June incident went to the police and brought the video. The police identified the man as Leslie and issued a warrant for his arrest.
Leslie was taken into custody. The incident is under investigation at this time.
